Input of supports

We can now introduce the supports using the button. This button (as many others in iMesh) has a different effect depending on how it is used : if you simply press it when the mouse is close to the middle node of the bottom right plate, you will obtain a fixed support as shown in Figure 10a. If before you click you start pressing down and holding the Ctrl (Control) key on your keyboard, and then you move the mouse close to the middle node of the rightmost plate, you will obtain a horizontally sliding support as shown in Figure 10b. If you would like to introduce a vertically sliding support (this is not needed here, so please don’t do it right now), it would be necessary to hold the Shift button on your keyboard while clicking on the desired node.

a) fixed support (does not move vertically not horizontally
b) horizontally sliding support (does not move vertically, but moves freely in the horizontal direction)
